Preferred Abstract (Original): 

Radiative lifetimes of none levels of neutral rhenium are reported with an accuracy of +or-5%. Improved oscillator strengths derived from the lifetimes bring the spectroscopically determined upper limit for the solar abundance of Re closer to the abundance of Re in chondritic meteorites.
