Objective

To provide an integrated introductory presentation of thermal, psychometric energy and human comfort issues in building form and the natural environment, plumping systems.

  • Comfort and health- Indoor environmental condition.
  • Basics of heating, cooling and ventilation.
  • Heating by hot water and electricity.
  • Air conditioning systems.
  • Refrigeration and the vapor compression system.
  • Cycle diagrams and simple saturated cycle.
