Course Description
This course is designed to provide students with thorough computer skills to adopt in the digital world. It covers extensive applications of computational techniques to Industrial Engineering problems and the use of different commercial software packages.
Course Objectives:

Developing the technical writing skills (engineering reports & proposal writing).

Mastering the use and application of Microsoft Office packages.

Developing the internet research skills.

Introducing some industrial Engineering applications software packages, including Operations research, Project management, and Quality control.

Using Statistics Package SPSS

Utilizing some Financial Analysis tools.
Course Outlines:

Technical report- writing skills. (2 weeks)

MS. Word, MS. Excel, and MS. PowerPoint. (6 weeks)

MS. Project (Project Management) (6 weeks)

Internet research skills. (1 weeks )

Computer Applications in Industrial Engineering. (1 week)

Other software package applications if time permits (SPSS, MINTAB, TORA). (2 weeks)
