Abstract: 

This Study aims at investigating the impact of music education on self-Concept on the tenth grade students in Nablus Government Schools. The Study Irks to answer the following questions: 1.Is there an impact of music education on Self-concept on The tenth grade students in Nablus government schools? 2. is there any significant differences at (α =0.05) on self-concept due to the variables (sex, place of residence; father's level of education, mother's level of education and School average)? The methodology is based on Piers - Harris Self-Concept Scale, and this scale was previously translated into Arabic and applied in Jordan by (Daood, 1982). It includes six domains: (behavior; mental ability and school level; physical appearance; worrying; popularity; satisfaction and happiness). Tests were conducted to measure the stability of the indicator by applying "Cronbach Alfa Equation"; coefficient of constant (0.92). The total population of the tenth grade students in Nablus government schools is (2044) Students which are distributed in (17 schools. The sample of this study consists (12.92%), the selection is conducted in purposeful sample. Two-Hundred forty eight (248) questionnaires are analyzed: (124) Male Students and (124) female students. The results of the study arc analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical packages for social sciences): • Paired-T-test. • independent-T-test. • One way ANOVA and Scheffe-test. • Cronbach-Al fa to find out the coefficient of constant. The results of the study indicated that : 1.The degree of the Self-Concept for the tenth grade students government schools in Nablus is very significant on behavior (73.77%). Whereas it is not significant on the other domains; ranging between (67-69.22%); and the total degree for self-concept reached (69%). 2.The variables of (sex, place of resident, father's level of education, mother's level of education and school average) have no significant difference at (α=0.05) on self-concept domains. 3.The study showed that there are statistically significant differences at (α =0.05) on self-concept on both indicators on the two samples. 4. The study showed that there are no statistically significant differences at (α =0.05) on self—concept on both indicators on the two samples due to the music education.
