Introduction
Arabic Optical Character Recognition is the translation of handwritten Arabic letters and numerals into
machine editable text.We chose Arabic because Arabic is a widely used language with few efficient applications
supporting it.
The main parts of AOCR:
It consists of two main parts: recognition engine and learning engine.
In the recognition part the system can recognize stand alone letters with different formats and shapes,
it can also recognize numbers and perform simple mathematical operations on them.

The recognition engine can recognize letters with variant sizes also.

The learning engine enables the user to learn the system his own wiriting by using K-NN algorithm.
