Antibacterial activity of the crude methanolic extract (CME) obtained from cyclamen persicum tubers was studied in Pharmacy Department . Disk diffusion method has been adopted in this study and Petri dishes containing Muller Hilton agar (MHA) media were used for three strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The antibacterial activity of the tested miro organisms was determined by measuring the diameter of the zone of inhibition in term of millimeter. The extract showed significant effect against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus Subtilis (gram positive bacteria) , while gram negative Escherichia coli bacteria did not show any inhibition zone . The yield of this extract was 9% (w/w).
