Preferred Abstract (Original):

Pyridlhydrazone derivatives [ 1-5 ] were synthesized for the first time by condensation of di-2- pyridyl ketone with different hydrazides individually. The corresponding solid phase hydrazide-hydrazones were collected from acidic-ethanolic medium after 8-10 hours of reflux in very good to excellent yields and purified twice by ethanol/water re-crystallization process. All thesynthesized compounds are characterized by IR, 1 H and 13 C NMR, FAB-MS and other physicalanalyses tests. The microbiological antifungal activity was carried out toward Trichophytonmentagrophytes, Microsporum canis and Trichophyton rubrum.
