Research Abstract: 

The mutual relationship between power relations and space[1] has been crucial in the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. In other words, power has been spatially practiced in the Palestinian/Israeli conflict: space is used in the exercise of power, and it also releases and displays power. In this context power does not only related to power from above; the power to dominate, to control, to impose order from top downwards by the occupier. Rather it is also the power from bellow; the bottom-up power, the power of resistance by the Palestinian people. That is control is in a dyad relation with resistance, and space is the main arena of the practices of this dichotomy in the Palestinian Territories (PT).
