Abstract
The main purpose, of this study is to formulate the required static characteristics of a linear electromagnetic motor, by investigating the magnetic systems of these motors. Result of study showed that it is more effective to use LEMM with non-ferromagnetic guide frame without lower shunt to make hammers (fig.2 curve 1). Another way is to use LEMM with ferromagnetic guide frame without lower shunt to make reciprocating devices with a relatively high frequency and low amplitude vibration applied to the tool in the final stage (fig.2 curve 2). Or to use LEMM with ferromagnetic guide frame with lower shunt to make press (fig.2. curve 3).
It is obvious from (fig.2 curve 3) that turning off the electric current supplying LEMM when δ=5mm, allows to decrease the relative final tractive force by 5 times less than other samples having same striker traveling distance, and allows to increase the relative mechanical integral work by 5%.
