Research Abstract: 

 Blood samples from 50 anemic patients from the Northern West Bank were analyzed by electrophoresis.Ten percent were homozygous with respect to Hbs.Six percent had the sickle cell trait.Twenty-six percent were thalassemic (18% minor and 8% major).
