Israeli Measures to Judise Al-Quds and Decide Its Political Destiny
The aim of this study was to identify the Israeli measures since 1967 to judize East Jerusalem (Al-Quds), and decide its political destiny. Among those measures was the establishment of seventeen settlements, surrounding the city from the three directions: the north, south and east. Also the ongoing erecting of the separation wall around the city, to accomplish what is called the Jerusalem Envelope. This wall will result in separating and isolating more than sixty thousand Palestinians from their city Al-Quds, and imbalance the demographic structure of the city. Israel used different strategies to accomplish the separation wall, mainly the preoccupation of the world with what is called (unknot Israeli ties with Gaza). Till now, Israel succeeded in erecting the major and sensitive part of the separation wall, and it is expected that it will finish working with it by the date of the Israeli (withdrawal) from Gaza in mid August 2005. The study found that Israel created new realities on the ground that may help it in any future political negotiations with Palestinians. The study recommended that the Palestinians should insist on (East Jerusalem) to be under absolute sovereignty and the political capital of any future Palestinian state.

الإجراءات الاسرائيلية لتهويد القدس و تقرير مصيرها السياسي(دراسة في الجغرافيا السياسية)
هدفت هذه الدراسة الى تسليط الضوء على الاجراءات التي نفذتها اسرائيل منذ عام 1967 من اجل تهويد القدس وتقرير مصيرها السياسي من جانب واحد. من بين تلك الاجراءات، اقامة سبعة عشر مستوطنة اسرائيلية تحيط بالمدينة من جهاتها الثلاث: الشمال، والجنوب، والشرق، واقامة الجدار العازل حول المدينة واكمال ما يعرف بغلاف القدس، وعزل ما يقرب من ستين الف فلسطيني مقدسي عن المدينة، مما يحدث تحولات ديموغرافية كبيرة لصالح اسرائيل. واستخدمت اسرائيل اساليب شتى من اجل اكمال بناء الجدار العازل حول القدس، كان اهمها اشغال الرأي العام المحلي والاقليمي والدولي بمسألة ما يسمى بفك الارتباط الاسرائيلي مع قطاع غزة. وقد نجحت اسرائيل حتى الان في تنفيذ الجزء الاعظم من الجدار، ومن المتوقع ان تنتهي من اقامته مع حلول موعد (انسحاب) الجيش الاسرائيلي من قطاع غزة في منتصف شهر اب 2005. توصلت الدراسة الى ان اسرائيل خلقت وقائع جديدة على الارض، يمكن ان تستفيد منها في أي عملية تفاوضية مع الفلسطينيين. وأوصت الدراسة بوجوب اصرار الفلسطينيين على ان تكون (القدس الشرقية) تحت السيادة الكاملة للدولة الفلسطينية التي يمكن ان تقوم في المستقبل وعاصمة (سياسية) لها، ورفض سياسة الامر الواقع التي تتبعها اسرائيل مع الشعب الفلسطيني.
