Abstract: 

The study aimed to identify the degree of transformational leadership attributes among principals of public secondary schools and its relationship with teachers' vocational belonging from the viewpoint of teachers in the districts of the north of Palestine. The study population consisted of all teachers in the directorates of education in the districts of the northern West Bank estimated (12575) teachers (males and females) from which a random sample consisted of 565 teachers was selected. The descriptive survey method was used and the study found the following results: First, the degree of availability of transformational leadership attributes among principals of public secondary schools in Palestine was high with an average of (3.9), and there were statistically significant positive correlation between the degree of availability of transformational leadership attributes among school principals and vocational belonging of the teacher. Second, the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the evaluations of the sample of the degree of availability of transformational leadership attributes among principals of public secondary schools in Palestine due to the variable sex for the benefit of males, and due to variable of scientific qualification in the field of social relations for the benefit of the category (higher than BA), and due to variable of experience in the field of human relations for the benefit of the category (less than 5 years), and due to variable of location of the school in the field of individual consideration and human relations for the benefit of the city, and finally due to variable of district in the field of employment discipline, function ethics, human relations, social relations and on the total scope of the study. Third: the lack of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the evaluations of the sample of the degree of availability of transformational leadership attributes among principals of public secondary schools in Palestine from the viewpoint of teachers in the districts of the north of Palestine due to variables of scientific qualification, years of experience, location of the school and the district in other fields not listed above. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher recommended the following: The need for educational institutions at all levels, to offer courses relevant to the issues that may face the principal, in the early years of his work, until things become known to the majority of school administrators. And the need for taking the scientific qualification into account when assigning school administrators, because of its importance in applying high skills in problem solving in accordance with the modern concepts.
