Abstract: 

This study aims at identifying the degree of principal’s effectiveness in change leadership for development of the basic school in Palestine from their views. Also, it aims at identifying the differences in principal’s views according to several variables of sex, academic qualification, especiality, years of experiences, geographical site and number of training courses. The study community consists of all the principals of basic government schools in Palestine who are (895). The study sample of (255) individuals was chosen randomly. For achieving the study purposes, a descriptive method has been used. Also, a questionnaire as a study tool has been developed, subjected to judgement, distributed among the study sample, gathered, and entered into the computer statistically processed by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The study results showed the following: 1- The degree of principal’s effectiveness in change leadership for development of the basic school in Palestine from the views. The means is (3.47) for eight domains, except for “technical newness, which is medium and reached (3.64). 2- There are no significant differences at (α= 0.05) level of the means of the principal’s means in the degree of principals effeteness in change leadership for development of basic school in Palestine from their views due to the variables of scientific qualification and geographical site. 3- There are no significant differences at (α= 0.05) level of principals means in the degree of principal’s effectiveness in change leadership for development of basic school in Palestine from their views in: school management, teachers, school building and the relationship with the local community to the variable of sex. In the opposite, there are significant differences among means in domains of: educational supervision, students and curriculum in favor of females and in the technological newness in favor of mares. 4- There are no significant differences at (α= 0.05) level of the means of principal’s views in domains of school management, educational supervision, teachers, students curriculum, school building and the relationship with local community due to the variable of especiality. On the contrary, there are significant differences in the technological newness in favor of scientific faculties. 5- There are no significant differences at (α= 0.05) level of means of principals' views in domains of educational supervision teachers, students, curriculum, technological newness, school building, the relationship with the local community due to the variable of experiences. Also, there are significant differences in the principals, view in the domain of school management between (less than (5) years) and from ((5)-less than (10) years) in favor of the second one. 6- There are no significant differences at (α= 0.05) level of means of principals views in domain, of school management, educational supervision, teachers, students, curriculum, school building and the relationship with the local community due to the number of training administrative courses, which principals participate in. In the opposite, there are significant differences in the domains of technological newness and total degree for all domains of principals effectiveness in change leadership between number of administrative course (less than (3) courses) and (more than (6) courses) in the favor of the second one. According to the study results, several recommendations have been suggested, increasing principals awareness of technological newness use in administration. Establishing training centers in schools for serving the local community around curriculum, students and technological newness. Lastly, making further studies on other educational sectors.
