The Position of Graduate ‎Students Towards Globalization

This is study aimed at investigating the opinions of graduate students towards the phenomenon of globalization, challenges and effects and investigating any significant mean differences between graduate students opinions with regard to (sex, specialization, level of students study, martial, status , level of income, working status, place of living , and age ) .The population of the study consisted of (500) graduate students from all colleges .A random sample of 33% were chosen which represents (121) students whom their responses was analyzed in this study. The researchers applied a questionnaire used by As'ad & Mohammad about globalization. Validity and reliability were determined by the researchers to validate the questionnaire. Also means, percentage, standard deviations t-test, and one way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The result of study showed that the gradate students have an objectives towards the general position of globalization represents (64.4%) . It showed a negative opinions toward the second dimension of culture and globalization, which represents (70.4) and it showed also an objection towards the dimension of religion and globalization with a mean of (71.8%). The study showed that there were no significant mean differences in their opinions of globalization with regard to the demographic variables of ( specialization , level of students studies, martial status , students income , working status , and age ), but showed that there were significant mean differences related to sex , and place of living . this study also pointed out the most important positive and negative effects of globalization on the Arab people and their culture , and suggest means and methods to deal with this phenomenon .
