Preferred Abstract (Original):

Poly(silmethylene) has been prepared form 3-chloropropyltrichlorosilane. The structure of poly(silmethylene) was investigated by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The pyrolysis of the polymer was studied by Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and was found to give 70% ceramic yield after pyrolysis temp of 900°C.
